Meet Nicole, the Environment and Climate Change Lead, with a Master's degree in Environmental and Sustainability Science. Nicole is deeply committed to solving the environmental crisis, working towards a sustainable future, and bridging the gap between humanitarian and development aid to reduce the suffering of people impacted by climate change. As a co-founder of Risha Solutions and a member of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Network, she is a passionate advocate for the environment and sustainability, combining her love for the outdoors with her expertise in climate change adaptation and mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and climate finance.

Nicole spent several years living and working in Central and South Asia and is now based in Switzerland. Outside of work, she is an avid outdoor enthusiast, including biking, skiing, hiking, and rock climbing. She is also a passionate hobby gardener and permaculturist, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable living and environmental stewardship. Nicole is fluent in German, Swiss-German, French, English, and is currently studying Farsi and Russian.

Meet Ammayle, also known as Amy, the Gender and Social Inclusion Lead. With a Master's degree in Development Studies focusing on human rights and social justice and more than a decade of work experience, she brings a unique perspective on the challenges marginalized communities face worldwide. Ammayle's eye for detail and expertise in connecting people across borders has been valuable in helping to bridge the gap between local and international knowledge and promoting equality and equity at Risha Solutions. She is also a long-time volunteer with the Afghan Women's Fund.

Ammayle is an Afghan-American who speaks five languages, including English, Pashto, Dari, French, and Spanish, and who has lived in eight countries. Aside from work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, watching football, playing card games, and bowling. Ammayle recently returned to the United States after living and working in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Pakistan for five years.

Meet Shuhrat, the Strategic Communications Lead. He brings extensive experience in communication roles at the United Nations and excels in social media management, with a unique ability to break down complex technical information and make it easily understandable for all audiences. Shuhrat is also a highly accomplished entrepreneur, with a track record of launching and growing successful start-ups. In addition to Risha Solutions, he is the co-founder of a tech skills accelerator in Tajikistan.

Shuhrat is an avid reader and can often be found with a book in hand, whether it's a philosophical text or the latest Harvard Business Review. He also enjoys playing Settlers of Catan and is a devoted father to a baby girl. Shuhrat is Tajik and currently based in Tajikistan, where he is the driving force behind the company's operations in the region. He is fluent in Tajik, Russian, and English.
